Are the Shea Butter, Coconut oil and Avocado Oil raw or refined?
We use raw ingredients rather than refined. This is because the refinement process takes out many of the things that are actually beneficial in Shea butter, Coconut oil and Avocado oil.
Raw Shea butter does have an oily, nutty smell that some find unpleasant so we have ensured that our careful scenting of the product eliminates this smell. The product has a delicious smell, literally enjoyed by all.
It is important to offer you a product that has retained as much of its health benefits as possible so we stick with unrefined and raw products.
Does your product have an expiration date?
All beauty products have a shelf-life, dependent on the preservatives used. We use natural preservatives, antibacterial and antibacterial, and antifungal agents which extends the life of our product.
In the UK products are legally required to either have an expiry date or a PAO symbol- Period After Opening – on their packaging. We ensure we include a PAO. But just like with your food let common sense prevail. Make sure you don’t store products in direct sunlight as this will have a negative effect on their shelf-life. Also, if in doubt, with any products, go with your nose. If it smells differently from when you first bought it don’t use it. Our products are best when used within 12 months of buying.
How can you use the same product for your hair and skin?
Hair and skin are not that different. Hair and nails are actually modified types of skin. Found in both is keratin, a type of protein that is a basic component of hair and nails. It is also found in skin cells in the skin’s outer layer, where it helps create a protective barrier. SKNHR Ltd moisturiser works to keep all three in tip top condition.
Our Hair and skin need lots of moisture which we get from by drinking water and applying moisture topically. SKNHR Ltd mousse serves the body from head to toe, not only adding moisture but also providing a valuable seal to keep the moisture in.
